I never thought I would be working on a project of this magnitude. And while darkness is part of my being, the overwhelming strife that I witnessed during the outbreak has pushed me to the brink of insanity.
Born and raised outside scenic Summit View, Pennsylvania, I got my first taste of darkness and the unexplained in the Appalachian Mountains listening to the folklore from generations of pioneers. These legends and lore hit close to home and opened my mind to the unseen world that exists. In conquering these possibilities, I became even more fascinated by the different facets of the unexplained. That held me at bay until that fateful day that our world in this small slice of Pennsylvania was ravaged by the bloodthirsty beasts (which deep inside I know were created by the government and their United Nations partners).
A twenty-plus year veteran of the United States Navy, I find myself being an outlet of the truth. I am a writer, researcher, life-long horror fan, and most importantly a survivor. In this blog, not only will you find follow-up materials that did not make it into After the Static, but also new research material from the mysterious region that stands in the distance. For many, the Ridge is a myth, but to me, it is home.
